Influence
The tin can embodies the readymade design philosophy — a language of transformation reimagined by visionaries like Virgil Abloh. Inspired by this ethos, I chose to elevate what was already within reach, creating something meaningful for myself, and ultimately, for the world.
Its legacy runs deeper than utility. Since 1961, when Pittsburgh’s own Andy Warhol immortalized the humble soup can, this form has symbolized reinvention — the ability to turn the ordinary into cultural iconography. Through his collaboration with Campbell’s, Warhol proved that design can transcend its origins.
By crafting a candle within this timeless silhouette, we honor that lineage. You and I are not just lighting a wick — we’re participating in a shared act of transformation, continuing the tradition of turning the familiar into something extraordinary.
